Delaware River Report: September 7, 2024

We finally have some cloud cover and rain in the forecast. The rain should start around noon with a total of .32″. It shouldn’t be enough to affect the rivers but hopefully it will push some bugs earlier in the day. Tiny olives, hebes, Isonychias and a few cahills are making up most of the bugs. There are some caddis starting to show up and that should get better over the next couple of weeks. Nymphing or swinging wets will still be the best option early. Streamers could be a good choice today with the weather.

Today will be 64 degrees with clouds and periods of rain. Total rainfall should be .32″. Wind will be 5 – 10 mph from the South.
