Delaware River Report: September 27, 2024

Today looks like a good day to be on the water with no wind and clouds. Some sections have heavy fog but that should burn off in the next hour. Throwing streamers while the fog is still there could pay off early. Yesterday rain bumped the river flows slightly but it shouldn’t be noticeable. The hatches were good in the rain over the last few days mainly with olives and hebes. Some people are finding Isonychias and cahills on some river sections so it’s definitely worth blind casting if nothing is going on.

Cannonsville is turning over so the West Branch has that green tint we get most Falls. It doesn’t bother the fish or the bugs.

Today will be 73 and overcast. Wind will be light and variable.
