Delaware River Report: April 10, 2025

Despite the cooler weather the West Branch at Hale Eddy peaked at 48 degrees yesterday. Not too bad for early April. We’re on a bit of a warming trend and should have cloud cover and some mixed precipitation through the weekend. Nymphing and streamers continue to be the best bets but people are seeing some olives and stoneflies. The fish we have seen eat on top have been in the foam lines and tailouts. The dries have been an occasional bonus so count on fishing underneath. The wind may pick up this afternoon so look for more protected spots.

Today will be 46 degrees, cloudy with a chance of rain this afternoon. Total rainfall should be .05″. Wind will be 10 – 20 mph from the South.
