Delaware River Report: July 1, 2025

The release from Cannonsville is 600 cfs and the spill has stopped. We have clouds today which is a nice change. We’ll see a few afternoon showers with a little more rain coming overnight. Nymphing and swinging wets will still be the best bets early. We should see some sulphurs, cahills, and Isonychias in the late afternoon / evening. Blind casting Isonychias or Cahills in the riffles could pay off. Water temps on the Lower East Branch, Mainstem, and Beaverkill all peaked in the high 60’s to low 70’s so it’s time to give those rivers a break until we cool down again.

Today will be 83 degrees with clouds and some afternoon showers. Total rainfall during the day should be .09″. Wind will be 5 – 10 mph from the West.
