Delaware River Report: July 6, 2025

The release from Cannonsville has been cut back a bit to 549 cfs. We lost power in Thursday’s storms. It’s estimated to come back on Sunday at 11 pm. Hopefully. Today looks like another sunny hot day so look for the coldest water for the best hatches. Sulphurs, some Cahills, tiny olives, and Isonychias should be out there. Blind casting Isonychias and Cahills could be a good bet on the lower West Branch. Nymphing or swinging wets would also be a good bet. The normal Summer Delaware fishing is kicking in.

The Beaverkill, Lower East Branch, and Mainstem water temps are all peaking in the high 60’s to low 70’s. It’s time to give these rivers a break until they cool back down.

Today will be 89 degrees and partly cloudy. Wind will be 10 – 15 mph from the South.
