Delaware River Report: July 22, 2025

We’ll be cooler today but with sunshine. It’s July fishing so go the cold water on the Upper West or Upper East for the best hatching. Sulphurs should start between noon and 2 pm. The could be some smaller olives mixed in so keep an eye out for those. No wind so we may see some spinners in the evening. The lower West could fish in the evening but during the day it’s been nymphs and wets. Blind casting Isonychias and Cahills has worked this week.

The Beaverkill, Lower East Branch, and Mainstem water temps are all peaked in the mid to high 70’s yesterday. It’s time to give these rivers a break until they cool back down.

Today will be 77 degrees and sunny to partly cloudy. Wind will be light and variable.

It’s that time of year. August 15 – 16. Let’s clean up the river!
