Delaware River Report: August 19, 2025

The release from Cannonsville is 659 cfs. We have a few days of cooler weather ahead of us which is a welcome relief. The hatches have still been mostly olives with some lingering Sulphurs. We’ve been catching fish on nymphs during the day and looking for risers as the sun drops.

The Beaverkill, Lower East Branch, and Mainstem water temps are still peaking in the mid to high 70’s. It’s time to give these rivers a break until they cool back down.

Today will be 75 degrees and cloudy. Wind will be 5 – 10 mph from the South.
