Delaware River Report: August 28, 2025

The release from Cannonsville is 611 cfs. The release has been dropped again. Luckily, the cooler weather is keeping the lower river temperatures in good shape. That will open up more water to fish where there is less algae. Your best bet for hatching is still later in the day. Nymphing can be productive earlier in the day or blind cast a larger fly in the riffles.

Today will be 74 degrees with a mix of sun and clouds. There is a chance of rain overnight. Winds will be 5 – 10 mph from the South.
