Delaware River Report: September 9, 2025

The release from Cannonsville is 450 cfs. We’re back in to want sunny days and cool nights. Nymphing or swinging wets will be the best bets during the day but people have found fish eating tiny olives during the day in the slow pools. A few clouds would definitely help. The olives have been coming in the afternoon. There are a few Isonychias and Cahills around. Some fish are eating them so it’s worth a shot if you don’t want to fish tiny olives. Flying ants are always a possibility this time of year.

Today will be 73 degrees with abundant sunshine. Wind will be 5 – 10 mph from the South.
