Delaware River Report: September 13, 2025

The release from Cannonsville is 733 cfs. We seem to be stuck in the same weather pattern for a bit. there were a few clouds yesterday but for the most part we’re dealing with cool nights and warm, sunny days. So the fishing hasn’t changed much in the last week. Nymphing or swinging wets will be the best bets during the day but you can blind cast Isonychias or cahills in the riffles. There have been some fish on little olives early in the afternoon but that has been spotty. Most of the dry fly fishing ill be later in the afternoon. Small olives and hebes have been making up most of the hatch but there are some caddis showing along with flying ants.

Today will be 78 degrees and sun and clouds mixed. Wind will be 5 – 10 mph from the West.

Sadly Ryan Geiges, a friend and former DRC guide, recently lost his battle with cancer. He will be missed by many – both off and on the water. There is a GoFundMe for Ryan’s family if you’d like to support them in this difficult time.
