Delaware River Report: October 7, 2025

The release from Cannonsville is 774 cfs. The release was cut back again most likely in anticipation of the rain helping meet the Montague Flow Target. It’s been a while since we had cloud cover and a chance of showers. It looks like a good day to be on the water. The West Branch should clear slightly with the lower release and there are more wade opportunities than yesterday. The rainfall during the day should be a few light showers. We may see .5″ overnight. It’s been really dry so a lot of that should soak in to the ground. Streamers and nymphs will still be the best bets early. Cahills, hebes, Isonychias, olives, and caddis are all in play. Hopefully the weather change pushes them earlier in the day.

Today will be 76 degrees with clouds and possible afternoon showers. Wind will be 5 – 10 mph from the South.
