Delaware River Report: April 5, 2026

It’s going to be cooler today but we’re keeping the wind – just from a different direction. The river flows have dropped more and the Beaverkill is under 1,000 cfs this morning. That should open up some wade spots. The tailwater flows have also dropped but it’s still a boat game on the big rivers. We’ll get .33″ of rain today but the next 8 days look clear. Some fish were eating stoneflies on top yesterday but it’s mostly still a streamer program. Nymphing should pick up as the water flows drop this week.

Today will be 51 degrees with clouds and some rain in the morning. Rainfall should amount to .33″. Wind will shift to 10 – 15 mph from the North.
