Delaware River Report: April 9, 2026

It’s another cool morning in the high 20’s but we’ll hit 60 degrees this afternoon. Like yesterday it will take a bit for the water temps to climb today. The 10 day forecast doesn’t show any more nights below freezing. The flows are still dropping slowly. The Beaverkill and Willowemoc levels look great for wading. The reservoirs are still spilling but once that stops the tailwaters should drop to decent levels. Streamers are still bringing the most fish to net but nymphing will pick up as the water drops. As we warm up this week we should see a little dry fly activity too – if the wind lays down.

Today will be 60 degrees with sunshine. Wind will be 10 – 20 mph from the South.
