Delaware River Report: April 12, 2026

We’re back on a warming trend and it should be much more comfortable on the water today. We’re going to keep the same wind though except from the South. The reservoirs are pretty much done spilling and the river flows are dropping back accordingly. They are releasing 1,500 cfs on the West Branch hopefully to make a small void so it doesn’t spill after every small rain storm. There are still stoneflies around with a few olives. The little black caddis should pick up. Water temps should climb this week pushing more of the early hatches. Streamers and nymphs have still been the best bets in the wind.

Today will be 62 degrees with a mix of clouds and sun. Wind will be 10 – 15 mph from the South.
