Delaware River Report: July 15, 2026

They pulsed Cannonsville up to 850 cfs last night but it is already dropping back to 500 cfs. It’s going to be a hot one again. Fish early or late and avoid the midday heat if possible. Sulphurs, Cahills, Isonychias, olives, and some caddis are all out on the water. There are some tiny olives mixed with the sulphurs in Deposit so keep an eye out for those. Blind casting Cahills and Isonychias can be effective when there isn’t a hatch. The heat should break over the weekend.

Today will be 90 degrees with a mix of sun and clouds. Wind will be 10 – 20 mph from the North.

What’s Hatching:
Dark Blue Wing Olive – #16 – 18 – Baetis vagans
Sulphur – 16 – 20 – Ephemerella dorothea
Tan Caddis – #16 – 20 – Hydrosyche sp
Light Cahill – #14 – Epeorus vitreus, Ephemerella invaria, Stenacron spp.
Slate Drake – #12-2xl – 12 – Isonychia bicolor
