Scattered thunder storms will be passing through the area today. With the chance of showers comes good overcast and less direct sunlight. With less sunlight the river temps stay cooler and there is a better chance that you will find rising fish. Today looks like it is going to be a great day to be on the water. We had our first reports of white flies as well as golden drakes on the Main Stem. Tricos are still around nearly every morning on the lower West Branch and the upper Main Stem. In addition to these flies, plan on seeing plenty of BWO’s throughout the day along with sulphurs and sparse isonychias. The upper Main Stem should be at a good level for wade fisherman as well anyone looking to float. Water levels on the West Branch are still high so wade fishermen proceed with caution.
