Another blue-sky day today with a high of 63 degrees. Cool evenings have water temperatures in good shape throughout the system, and water levels are pretty respectable. The West Branch is still dropping and some sections of the river may recede to the point where floating may not be possible, but for now things are looking pretty good. Yesterday boasted some caddis activity throughout the day, but didn’t really get going in any numbers until around 7:00 p.m. and produced limited surface activity. The streamer bite, although not great, still provided decent action throughout the day and was the best option for targeting trout.
