We woke up top a little light rain this morning with decent cloud cover. The sun should break through shortly but the high air temps should stay in the 70’s today. Depending on which weather channel you watch we are either going to have sun all day or we may get a stray thunder storm in the afternoon. The release from Cannonsville is 845 cfs this morning. We should drop more by tomorrow opening up even more water on the West Branch to wading. The release is still sending enough cold water down the system to keep the Upper Mainstem cool. The Main at Lordville peaked at 62 degrees yesterday which is awesome for early August. Sulphurs, olives, isonychias, and cahills are the main food source. We have seen a few of the Heptagenia hebes (olive sulphurs) in sections plus a couple of cornutas here and there.
Hatching:
Slate Drake #12-2xl – 12 – Isonychia bicolor
