We came through the rain in good shape with the flow at Hale Eddy bumping slightly to 616 cfs. Oquaga Creek is leveled off at 51 cfs so we don’t expect any surprises morning. We do have a a little over 1/4″ more in today’s forecast but that shouldn’t be a problem. The cloud cover and rain should be good for the olives plus some Isonychias and Heptagenia. The caddis are picking up again which is always a sign of Fall fishing. We’re still seeing algae in the Upper West Branch so nymphing is better below Hale Eddy. The Upper East does not have any algae.

Today will be 62 degrees with clouds periods of rain. Daytime rainfall should be .25″. Wind will be 5 – 10 mph from the North.

The forecast changes every time we look at it. As of this morning today the have lessened the rain forecast to .04″ with clouds and an occasional rains shower. It sounds like a good day to be on the water. Keep an eye on the radar just in case it changes again. So it should be a good olive day with some Isonychias and Heptagenia. Hopefully the weather pushes the bugs a little earlier in the day. Have a few streamers just in case the weather changes. We’re still seeing algae in the Upper West Branch so nymphing is better below Hale Eddy. The Upper East does not have any algae.

Today will be 61 degrees with clouds and an occasional rain shower. Daytime rainfall should be .04″. Wind will be 5 – 10 mph from the North.

Today looks like a good day to be on the water with sun early and some clouds moving in during the afternoon. We shouldn’t see any rain until tomorrow. Hopefully the bugs push a little earlier in the day with the clouds. Olives, Isonychias, and some Heptagenia are making up the bulk of the hatches. There are some caddis on sections offering some earlier dry fly shots. We’re still seeing algae in the Upper West Branch so nymphing is better below Hale Eddy. The Upper East does not have any algae.

Today will be 71 degrees with sun in the morning and clouds moving in during the afternoon. Wind will be 5 – 10 mph from the South.

We’re starting off with a decent amount of fog but that should burn off. Partly cloudy means sunshine so we’re expecting the hatches to be late afternoon. We have seen the bugs shut down early when the temp drops with the sun so don’t wait until almost dark to look for risers. It’s been a bit like early Spring with the cooler air temps. Olives, Isonychias, and a few Heptagenia have made up most of the bugs. We are seeing some caddis again too. Nymphing or swinging wets would be a good bet early but people have had some success blind casting Isonychias. We’re still seeing algae in the Upper West Branch so nymphing is better below Hale Eddy. The Upper East does not have any algae.

Today will be 65 degrees with a partly cloudy sky. Wind will be 5 – 10 mph from the North.

Today we’ll trade more sunshine for less wind. That’s not bad with the cooler air temps. We should still see olives and a few Isonychia in the late afternoon. Some river sections are seeing a few Heptagenia. Nymphing or wets would be a good option early but stick below Hale Eddy. We’re still dealing with some algae up top. Streamers are moving some fish early and late in the day.

Today looks like another good day to be on the water despite the wind. The cloud cover has been a nice change of pace. People are fishing streamers early and late with some nymphing during the day. The dry fly fishing has picked up since the cooler weather settled in. Small olives, Isonychias, and some Heptagenias should be around depending on what river section you fish. Mostly small olives.

Today will be 66 degrees with cloudy skies cleaing to partly cloudy skies. Wind will be 10 – 15 mph from the North.

We woke up to a light steady rain but that should end within the next few hours. The river flows are climbing a bit on the 6:30 gauge update but the Home Pool is clear right now. It definitely looks like a good day to be on the water with the light rain, cooler water temps, and clouds. Small olives, Isonychias, and some Heptagenias should be around depending on what river section you fish.

Today will be 67 degrees rain early turning to clouds in the afternoon. We may still see an afternoon shower. Wunderground is showing today’s rainfall at .03″. Wind will be 5 – 10 mph from the North.

Today looks like a great day to be on the water with light wind, cloud cover, and even some light rain. Definitely have your small olive box with some Isonychia and Heptagenia patterns Nymphing and streamers could be a good bet in these conditions too. There is algae up in Deposit so stay below Hale Eddy if you’re fishing underneath. Last night was another cool one so water temps look great this morning.

Today will be 67 degrees with clouds in the morning and rain developing in the afternoon. Total rainfall should be .08″ during the day with an additional .35″ overnight. Wind will be light and variable.

Olives, a few Heptagenia, and Isonychias have been out in the afternoons. Not always great numbers but enough to see some fish rise. We’re also still seeing decent numbers of Isonychia spinners over the water. Eventually they’ll drop to the water so have those patterns handy. Streamers are working in low light but stick below Hale Eddy because of the algae. Same still applies to nymphing. The cooler air temps have helped the water temps quite a bit so there are a lot of options to explore.

The rivers are still dropping back slowly and everything looks good today. The cooler air temps have really helped the water temps. It should push the bugs earlier. but it also may end them earlier in the day when the temps drop quickly Keep that in mind when timing your fishing as we get deeper into Fall. Small olives, Isonychias, and a few sulphurs were on the water yesterday. There is still a lot of algae in Deposit so nymphing is still best below Hale Eddy.

Today will be 70 degrees with abundant sunshine. Wind will be 10 – 15 mph from the North.

The West Branch looks good this morning with decent clarity. The flow at Hale Eddy is 999 cfs and dropping. The release is now 475 cfs. Yesterday was an odd one because we tarted off clear, got slightly dirty, started to clear, and then got dirty again. Just isolated rain that hit different river sections at different times. There is no rain in the forecast today. There have been good Isonychia spinners for the last two nights. In the air. We haven’t seen them hit the water with daylight left. #18 – 20 olives have been our best fly over the last couple of days despite the bigger bugs being around.

Today will be 68 degrees with sunshine. Wind will be 10 – 15 mph from the North.

We had some rain overnight with light showers still falling this morning. The flows have bumped slightly but so far everything looks good. Oquaga Creek is up 30 cfs. We’re hitting a cooler stretch of weather which should help the water temps and hatching on the lower river sections. Today definitely looks like an olive day. If we do see sunshine and humidity this afternoon keep an eye on the water for flying ants

Today will be much cooler hitting 71 degrees. We have light rain falling now bu may see some sunshine in the afternoon. This morning’s rainfall should only total .04″. Wind will be 5 – 10 mph from the North.
