Delaware River Report: April 12, 2024

Noon Update: We were hit with a few more rounds of rain. The river are still coming up and we’re seeing some color in the West Branch. We are still floating today.

Last night’s rain was enough to bump the flows. So far this morning the Beaverkill and East Branch have gone up the most. The Beaverkill at Cooks Falls is 2,600 cfs and rising. The only possibility for wading would be the real small feeder streams. Floating is the only option on the main rivers today. The West Branch at Hale Eddy is 2,720 cfs. Water clarity is fine in Home Pool as of 7 am. Yesterday fished well with a mix of Hendricksons, blue quills, and olives. The wind was intermittent so that certainly helped.

Today will be 61 degrees with rainfall totaling around .1″. Wind will be 10 – 20 mph from the South.
