Delaware River Report: April 16, 2022

The wind made fishing tough yesterday but there were fish landed on streamers, nymphs, and even to odd dry fly. The trick was finding spots out of the wind and just being persistent. Stoneflies, little black caddis, and Baetis are making up the bulk of the bugs. There are still alewives in the system. The Beaverkill and Willowemoc are still your best bets for wading. The East, West, and Main are still good for floating but not safe for wading. Today looks a little cooler with the air temp hitting 56 degrees. We’ll have cloud cover with 1/2″ of rain spread throughout the day. Wind will be 10 – 15 mph from the West.

The Beaverkill has dropped to a decent wade level
