The wind made yesterday tough. There were a few people out fishing streamers and nymphs. The sun did pop in the afternoon. The cold last night dropped the water temps quite a bit so it will take a while for them to warm with the lack of sun today. We warm up considerably tomorrow but should keep the cloud cover. If the wind lays down towards the end of the week we should see some stoneflies and olives again. If the wind stays 10 – 20 mph over the next few days nymphs and streamers will be your best bet. It’s tougher to hide from the wind with no leaves on the bushes and trees so look for high banks or side channels to get away from it as much as you can.
Today will be another cool one with the air temp hitting 47 degrees. We may see a few snow showers that switch to rain this morning. We shouldn’t see any significant precipitation. Wind will be 10 – 20 mph from the South.
