Delaware River Report: April 2, 2026

We woke up to light rain this morning but it should taper off soon. We did get hit again overnight and most of the river flows are up again this morning. The inflow at Walton is climbing but it less than yesterday. The flows should peak today and start to drop back. There is no more rain in the forecast until Sunday. The Beaverkill and Willowemoc will offer the first wade opportunities. It’s just going to take a couple of days. Floating is the best option right now and streamers are the best bet. There are some alewives in the West Branch (some) but it may be best to change it up on patterns, size, and color.

Today will be 43 degrees, cloudy / foggy, with morning rain showers. Wind will be 10 – 15 mph from the South.
