We woke up to cooler temps and some much needed rain. So far it’s been a light rain and we should see another .47″ fall by this afternoon. The river flows have bumped slightly so far but not enough to be noticeable. The dry ground and budding trees should soak a lot of it up. As of 6:30 am Oquaga Creek bumped 20 cfs. If there are any dramatic changes we’ll do a midday update. The cloud cover and rain will be nice for today’s fishing. We’re seeing better Hendricksons on some river sections along with olives, blue quills, and Quill Gordons. The amount of caddis around has been unbelievable. Mostly apple and little black but there are some tan Hydropsyche around. It looks like the wind will be back today so look for protected areas.
Today will be 68 degrees with clouds and periods of rain. Wind will be 10 – 20 mph from the South.
