The wind made yesterday another tough day on the water. The bugs were there but it was tough to catch a break. Most fish were landed on nymphs and streamers but a few people got lucky on top. Hendricksons are showing in better numbers and we still have olives, quill gordons, and blue quill on the water. Today looks nicer with the air temp hitting 60 degrees, sunshine, and wind only 10 – 15 mph from the North. While not ideal that’s a much better wind forecast than we’ve had for a while. There will be fish caught on top today. Tomorrow the wind should shift from the South at 5 -10.
All of the river flows are still falling. The West Branch at Stilesville is 1,430 cfs. there are a few wade opportunities over here if you’re a strong wader and careful. The East Branch is high with the flow at Harvard just over 1,000 cfs. The Beaverkill and Willowemoc are in good shape for wading. Click on the links below for the latest flow information
