Keep an eye on the gauges for the latest flows. If anything changes drastically we’ll do a mid day blog update
We woke up to a light steady rain. Both Cannonsville and Pepacton Reservoirs are spilling. At 6:30 am the gauges are showing a slight bump in flows. That will probably increase as the day goes on. The clarity out front looks fine this morning, We should see 1/2″ of rain during the day with more coming overnight. If you’re wading keep an eye on the Beaverkill and Willowemoc gauges. Those are your best options this morning. It took a while to get going but overall yesterday fished well. The wind was unpleasant at times and people definitely got wet but the bugs hatched and the fish were happy. It was the best day of the season so far. Not from the standpoint of number of bugs hatching but just really good fishing.
We’ll see the air temp hit 59 degrees today with wind 10 – 20 out of the South. Hourly the wind looks okay early but picking up later in the day. Rainfall should be around .6″ during the day with more falling overnight.
