Delaware River Report: April 4, 2024

We had some rain yesterday that turned into an inch of snow overnight. The air temp will hit 41 today so the snow will be gone. We didn’t get the crazy heavy rains that hit south of us but we got enough to bring the rivers up. We’re still at decent levels for boating but if you were planning on wading stick to the small head water streams for safety. We’re on a warming trend for the rest of the week so things should settle back down. Today looks like a streamer day but you never can rule out a few olives regardless of the weather so bring a dry fly rod just in case.

Today will be 41 degrees with rain showers. Total rainfall should only be .01″. Wind will be 5 – 10 mph from the North.

A little snow up here in April can almost be expected. It should melt quickly with the warmer air temps
