Delaware River Report: April 4, 2025

Yesterday morning’s rain bumped the river flows slightly but everything is in good shape today. The rivers are at decent levels for wading and floating. Water temps jumped up quite a bit yesterday afternoon and the warm night kept them there this morning. That may push the bugs a bit today. There were some olives and stoneflies on some river sections but it’s still mainly a nymph and streamer game. The wind has been a hindrance and that may continue today so look for sheltered spots if it picks up. We cool back down tomorrow and will see some rain. The amount predicted changes every time we check the weather station so keep an eye on the radar if you’re fishing this weekend.

Today will be a little cooler than yesterday with the air temp hitting 57 degrees. Cloudy skies to start off the day should clear a bit in the afternoon. Wind will be 10 – 15 mph from the North.
