Delaware River Report: April 6, 2025

The heaviest rain slid around us. We had some steady rain but overall the rivers came through just fine with some minor bumps in flow. The lower West Branch looks good at 6:30 this morning flowing at 595 cfs and dropping. We’re in decent shape for floating and wading. Yesterday was chilly and wet on the river. The wind made it a streamer / nymph day although there were some breaks in the afternoon. Today looks similar with slightly less wind. If we do get some breaks in the wind there is a shot at olives and stoneflies in the slow tailouts.

Today will be cooler than yesterday with the air temp hitting 43 degrees. We have light rain falling this morning but the total should only be .12″. Wind will be 10 – 15 mph from the North.

The flow at Hale Eddy peaked around 600 cfs and is already dropping
