Delaware River Report: April 8, 2026

We’re starting off this morning at 15 degrees but should hit 50 with sun by this afternoon. It’s going to take a while for the water temps to climb today. The river flows are still dropping slowly. The best wade opportunities are on the Beaverkill and Willowemoc. Cannonsville and Pepacton Reservoirs are still spilling. Wunderground is still calling for dry conditions for the next five days so we should see the rivers continue to drop. Nymphing should pick up with the lower water but streamers are sill bringing the most fish to net. Now that we’re warming up again we should see more fish eat on top this week.

Today will be 51 degrees with sunshine. Wind will be 5 – 10 mph from the South.
