Delaware River Report: August 11, 2023

We found some olives on the lower West Yesterday afternoon so the cooler weather and light rain conditions are helping. It wasn’t a major hatch but it was great to see. The best daytime dry flyfishing is still going to be in the coldest water closest to the dams. We’re sill fishing small sulphurs and olives. We should have sunshine today so the better dry fly move is to stay high. If you’re nymphing stick below Hale Eddy to avoid the algae.

This weekend is our annual Get Trashed cleanup event. Join us for a great time removing trash from the river system.

Today will be 77 degrees with clouds in the morning and mostly sunshine in the afternoon. Wind will be 10 – 15 from the North.
