Delaware River Report: August 11, 2026

The release from Cannonsville is 500 cfs. The West Branch flow bumped a little yesterday from the rain. Hale Eddy hit 700 cfs but is dropping back this morning. It’s still at a good level for wading and floating. Clarity is good. The fishing on the WB has stayed relatively consistent with the summer sulphurs hatching midday in Deposit. There are some olives mixed in plus a few Isonychias and Cahills. Stick to the lower West if you want to nymph. The algae has been bad up top making it a dry fly only game.

Today will be 81 degrees and mainly cloudy. There may be some sun and a stray shower or thunderstorm. Wind will be 5 – 10 mph from the NW.
