The release from Cannonsville is 720 cfs this morning as we received another overnight pulse of water. We expect it to drop back to 500 cfs later this morning. We’ll have another typically warm and sunny August day. Even though we have cool water near the dams and through the West Branch, the bright sun will make the fish wary. Look for shaded areas and have your olives ready for the evening.
The Beaverkill, Lower East Branch, and Mainstem water temps are still peaking in the mid to high 70’s. It’s time to give these rivers a break until they cool back down.
Today will be 90 degrees and sunny. Winds light and variable.
