Delaware River Report: August 14, 2024

The flows are in good shape and the stain has cleared from most river sections. There are plenty of safe wading opportunities on the upper West and more will open up as the levels continue to drop. The higher water gave us good streamer fishing, but as it drops we’re back to nymphing early and looking for rising fish as the sun drops. Make sure to have a selection of small olives, Isos and caddis with you.

Today will be 80 degrees with a mix of sun and clouds. Winds 5 – 10 mph from the West.
