The release from Cannonsville is 500 cfs. We’re back to normal Summer conditions. There have been some small olives on the Upper West. The Sulphurs have definitely waned but we’re still seeing a few small flushes. We’re seeing some olives, Cahills, and Isonychias offering some shots. It’s happening mainly in the evening but there were some bugs out in the afternoon yesterday. Look for banks that get shade earlier in the day. Nymphing or swinging wets will be the best bets during the day with most of the hatches coming in the evening.
The Beaverkill, Lower East Branch, and Mainstem water temps are still peaking in the mid to high 70’s. It’s time to give these rivers a break until they cool back down.
Today will be 87 degrees with sun shine early and some clouds in the afternoon. Wind will be light and variable.
