Delaware River Report: August 16, 2023

The West Branch low at Eddy has dropped back to 1,500 cfs. Still high for decent wading but fine for floating. The color has improved a lot and is fishable. The best wade opportunity (and dry fly fishing) will be above Oquaga Creek again today. It will be 560 cfs and clear up there. Yesterday fished well with streamers in the afternoon. It took a while for the clarity to improve enough to get the fish moving. Today looks much better from the start. The rivers should continue to drop with no significant rain in the 10 day forecast.

Today will be 78 degrees with partly cloudy skies. There is a slight chance of a rainstorm. Wind will be light and variable.
