Delaware River Report: August 17, 2025

The release from Cannonsville is 699 cfs. Get Trashed in the Catskills was a huge success. The volunteers are awesome and we think we set a new tire record. Today we’re cleaning up after the cleanup so we’ll resume our regular reports tomorrow.

The Beaverkill, Lower East Branch, and Mainstem water temps are still peaking in the mid to high 70’s. It’s time to give these rivers a break until they cool back down.

Today will be 86 degrees with a mix of clouds and sun. There is a chance of rain showers in the afternoon. Total rainfall should be .04″. Wind will be 5 – 10 mph from the West.

100 tires, a trailer of metal, and dumpster of garbage was pulled from the river yesterday
