Delaware River Report: August 21, 2024

The cooler air temps an cloud cover has really helped the water temps. Everything looks good this morning. Today looks a lot like yesterday with cool temps, maybe a rain shower, and some wind. The hourly forecast shows the wind dropping in the evening. Nymphing will be the best bet early with some possible streamer fishing. We’ve been finding fish on olives in the late afternoon and a few eating Isonychias. A lt of the olives are tiny but there are some #18’s around too. While today doesn’t look like the best day for them definitely have your flying ant box. A few Cahills and sulphur / Heptagenia should round it out.

Today will be 63 degrees, mainly cloudy, and a chance of a rain shower in the afternoon. Wind will be 10 – 15 mph from the North.
