Delaware River Report: August 22, 2023

The flows look good this morning and have dropped a bit as the runoff subsides. The flow at Hale Eddy is now under 1,000 cfs opening up more water to wading. The cooler nights have kept water temps in check and people have been fishing the Mainstem. People have been finding fish on the lower rver sections eating Isonychias, Potomanthus, and even some white flies. The water closest to the dams is still small sulphurs and olives – with a few Isonychias. We should start seeing flying ants.

Today will be 75 degrees with sunshine and clouds. Wind will be 5 – 10 mph from the North.
