Delaware River Report: August 24, 2025

The release from Cannonsville is 593 cfs. Today looks like a great day to be on the water with cooler temps, less wind, and some light rain. That may push the little olives earlier offering some dry flyfishing. Isonychias and Cahills should also be out there sporadically. Blind casting bigger flies has still been a good bet when nothing is happening. Nymphing or swinging wets in the riffles has been good on some sections. Streamers have been better in low light conditions. We should see an additional .33″ of rain overnight but most of that should soak in to the ground.

Today will be 73 degrees and cloudy. We may some occasional rain showers totaling .02″ during the day. Winds will be 5 – 10 mph from the South.
