Delaware River Report: August 28, 2022

The release from Cannonsville was dropped yesterday and then increased again last night. Again. The flow at Stilesville is a steady 907 cfs this morning. Again. The yo yo releases makes planning tougher but people are still finding fish. The main hatch is still the small blue wing olives. We’ve seen some Tricos around and some flying ants. A few sulphurs, cahill / stenos, and Isonychias round out the hatching. Today will hit 84 degrees with sunshine and a few clouds. Wind will be 5 – 10 mph from the South.

The East Branch at Fishs Eddy and the Beaverkill at Cooks Falls both peaked over 70 degrees yesterday. Give these sections a break until we get cooler temps.
