Delaware River Report: August 3, 2025

The release from Cannonsville is 500 cfs. We’re on a warming trend again. I won’t be as hot as last week but we’ll have warmer temps and sunshine this week. So back to normal Summer conditions. The midday Sulphurs and olives have been happening on the Upper West and Upper East. They’ve been a bit spotty in some sections so if you’re not seeing them move up or down a few pools. The lower West was fishing well with Isonychias and Cahills. They may push later in the day with the bright sun today but blind casting the riffles should work well.

The Beaverkill, Lower East Branch, and Mainstem water temps are still peaking in the mid to high 70’s. It’s time to give these rivers a break until they cool back down.

Today will be 81 degrees with plenty of sunshine. Wind will be light and variable.
