Delaware River Report: August 31, 2024

We’re in good shape with another cloudy day ahead of us. It’ll be a little warmer than yesterday. There is a chance of some thunderstorms in the late afternoon so keep an eye on the radar. It’s the end of August so nymphing will again be your best bet early. We have been seeing some olives in the evening and a few Isonychias. We’re not seeing huge numbers of Isos and cahills but the fish are eating them in the riffles. Definitely keep your flying ants handy for the next couple of weeks.

Today will be 76 degrees with mostly cloudy skies. We may see scattered showers and a thunderstorm in the afternoon. Daytime rainfall should be .02″ followed by .22″ after dark. Wind will be 5 – 10 mph from the South.
