Delaware River Report: August 6, 2024

We had some rain early this morning and the river flows are up a bit. Hale Eddy is 681 cfs and still rising at 6:30 am. It is clear in Homepool. If anything changes we’ll post an update. Oquaga Creek is only 40 cfs and it looks like it peaked. Click on the river gauge links below for the most up to date information. The West Branch is still 500 cfs in Stilesville and should be clear. The midday sulphurs have been spotty over the last couple of days but it looks good for olives today.

Today will be 79 degrees with showers during the afternoon and a chance of thunderstorms. Wind will be 5 – 10 mph from the North.

The Beaverkill at Cooks Falls, the East Branch at Fishs Eddy, and the Mainstem water temps will climb too high in today’s sunshine. It’s time to give these rivers a break.

Keep an eye on the Hale Eddy flow if you’re fishing today
