Delaware River Report / Conditions August 26, 2021

The release from Cannonsville was increased by 60 cfs bringing the Stilesville flow to 602 cfs.  That gauge has been reading low for a couple of years so the real flow is likely closer to 650.  Still okay for wading and floating.  Yesterday was hot in the afternoon.  Nymphing was your best bet early.  There were olives hatching as the sun dropped.  The fish were eating them in the slower pools but we didn’t see many get eaten in the riffles.  Some caddis and a couple Isonychias were out too.  Today is going to be hot again.  Wunderground is saying 89 degrees with sun.  Find the shade until the sun drops.
