Delaware River Report / Conditions August 7, 2016

We had hoped to keep the cloud cover longer yesterday but the sun popped out early afternoon and stayed with us.  There were a few clouds here and there but nothing seemed to stick around.  We did have the normal hatching on the upper West Branch.  It does seem that the mid-day hatches are coming in waves with the main hatch coming off almost into the evening.  Nymphing has been best in the morning before the fog burns off the water.  Today looks clear with air temperatures approaching 80 degrees.  Winds will be gusting a little over 10 mph but it shouldn’t be steady enough to be a huge problem.  We may get some welcome rain again mid-week.
