Delaware River Report / Conditions July 9, 2016

We were hit with a more rain yesterday afternoon and again overnight.  A lot of it soaked into the ground but we are seeing a bit of a bump in flows from the runoff.  The West Branch flow increased by 10 cfs so no real change on this side.  We are clear and looking good for wading and floating.  Temperatures remain in great shape.  The East side will come up a little more this morning since the Beaverkill flow increased to 180 cfs at Cooks Falls.  The upper East is in great shape.  The lower East and Mainstem are both starting off over 70 degrees this morning so they are out for trout fishing.  It never cooled off last night so the rivers are starting off a little warmer than usual this morning.  We are still fishing sulphurs, cahills, and isonychias with cripples being our most effective patterns.  Smallmouth fishing is picking up on the lower river too.
