Delaware River Report / Conditions June 24, 2018

The forecasted rain yesterday came earlier than they predicted. While most of it soaked into the ground, there was a small bump in the flows but didn’t cloud up the streams. It was a much cooler day with plenty of clouds and the water temperatures dropped back across the system. We saw cahills, sulphurs, caddis and small olives on the water. Swinging wet fly variations of those mayflies was productive earlier in the day in the riffles. Today looks slightly warmer, but with some light rain and thundershowers in the mix.
