Delaware River Report / Conditions June 25, 2021

People found fish yesterday afternoon despite the sunshine.  There was a light mix of olives, sulphurs, cahills, and a few isonychias.  The wind seemed to be the main issue during the day but it dropped back in the evening.  We’re seeing a few isonychias around and they are eating the dries so try swinging or hand twisting in larger nymphs or wet flies if you can’t get them on top.

Today should look a lot like yesterday with a mix of sun and clouds.  Wind 5 – 10 mph from the South.

The Lower East Branch, Mainstem, and Beaverkill at Cooks Falls all peaked over or just under 70 degrees yesterday.   It’s time to give those rivers a break and fish cold water areas.
