The release from Cannonsville has been increased to 600 cfs. This is a great level for wading and floating. This is great timing to protect the river too as we head back into warmer air temperatures. We should see highs in the low 80’s over the next few days and the nights will stay in the 60’s. The colder water from the release should push some of the sulphur, olive, and isonychia hatches. There are still a lot of caddis around but they have been slow in the early morning waiting for the temperatures to warm up. We should see a mix of sun and clouds today but the weater looks great for fishing through the weekend. Cloudy with a chance of storms and some rain. The weather forecasts seem very unreliable this season. We’ve seen rain on days that were supposed to be clear and sun on days that were forecasted rain so we’ll have to wait and see what happens.
